How To Make An All-Purpose Cleaner With Lemons?

Cleaning your home with natural ingredients is not only effective but super cheap. I love saving money and over the years I found that spending on fancy cleaners and detergents from the store is unnecessary – especially when ingredients like vinegar exist that are incredible in cleaning and disinfecting.

But, of course, there is one downfall to vinegar – that terrible smell. I absolutely hate the scent of vinegar and the last thing I want is for my home to smell like that after I am done cleaning it. This forced me to find out ways to deal with the smell yet still use vinegar because it’s too powerful of an ingredient to avoid using.

How To Make An All-Purpose Cleaner With Lemons?

Believe it or not, you can still use vinegar to make an all-purpose cleaner and avoid the smell and the secret is lemons. You can infuse vinegar with lemon peels.

I love infusing vinegar with lemon peels and then using it as an all-purpose cleaner. You might be wondering how I do it – and today I will show you!

I take a mason jar and fill it with vinegar. Then I add lemon peels in there as well as the juice of half a lemon. I put on the lid of the jar and forget about it for at least one week. During these seven days, the vinegar will infuse with the lemon peels and the lemon juice and that terrible smell will no longer be detectable.

Once the week is up, I throw the lemon peels away and pour the infused vinegar into a spray bottle. I also add two drops of liquid soap and a few drops of lemon essential oil – and just like that, you now have the perfect all-purpose cleaner that is natural, cheap, and super effective in cleaning.

If you want, you can also infuse the vinegar with grapefruit and orange peels – they work great too. You can also mix the peels and even add herbs.
