How To Make Your Own DIY Upholstery Stain Remover That Really Works?

I absolutely hate spilling something on my favourite sofa. I spend a lot of money on it and the last thing I want is to destroy it and cover it with stains. I am certain you feel the same way!

But no matter how hard I try to avoid staining it, I still find little areas that are indeed stained. I have made sure to not eat on my sofa as well as avoid drinking coffee or red wine when around the couch but accidents still happen.

Thankfully, I discovered an incredible DIY recipe for an all-natural stain remover that is not only cheap and easy to make but it works well with all types of stains. Today, I am going to share it with you!

How To Make Your Own DIY Upholstery Stain Remover That Really Works?

You need only a few ingredients for this recipe – distilled water, distilled white vinegar, liquid dish soap, and your favourite essential oil, however, the oil is optional. I like to add it because I hate the smell of vinegar and I always look for ways to cancel it in my DIY cleaners.

You need a cup of the distilled water, half a cup of the white vinegar, 3 drops of the soap, and around 10 drops of the essential oil.

Combine all of these ingredients in a spray bottle then shake so everything can mix well – and that’s it, your DIY stain remover is ready to be used!

I like to spray it over the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes so all of the ingredients have time to work their magic. Then I gently scrub with a cloth. Once I am happy with the result, I grab another cloth and dampen it with water then I wipe the area so I can remove the soap.
