If you have rust on your porcelain sinks then you are probably desperate for finding a way to get rid of it. But don’t worry too much about it because today I will share some of my favourite methods for removing rust on a porcelain sink!
These removal methods can also be applied to your bathtub so keep that in mind if you are dealing with rust on your porcelain tub!
How To Remove Rust From A Porcelain Sink?
– Use Lemon Juice and Salt
Start off with cutting a lemon in half then squeeze the lemon juice over the rust. Continue with sprinkling salt on top of the juice and let both ingredients sit for a few hours so they have time to work their magic.
Next, grab a scrub brush and gently scrub the areas. Repeat these steps as many times as necessary until the rust is removed. Finish off with rinsing!
– Use Lemon Juice and Baking Soda
An alternative to the first method is to replace the salt with baking soda. Mix lemon juice and baking soda in a bowl then apply the paste over the affected areas.
Let it sit for a few hours then scrub with a scrub brush. Again, you can repeat these steps as many times as you like until the rust is removed – then just rinse!
– Use Borax
Another great method you can use is to mix warm water and borax in a bowl. The paste should be applied to the affected areas.
Let it sit for a few hours then wipe with a microfiber cloth and rinse with water.
